Day 0: Arrival Day
Upon arrival in Tanzania, you will be welcomed by a Leiyos Safari representative. This safari is ideal for travelers arriving from Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam. Guests can access the safari by road transfer, domestic flight, or Sea connections where applicable.
Depending on your arrival schedule, overnight accommodation can be arranged before the safari begins the following day.
Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Saadani National Park
After an early breakfast, depart to Saadani National Park. Upon arrival, enter the park and begin a game drive through its unique blend of coastal bushland, savannah, and riverine habitats.
Keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, and various antelope species that roam the park. Saadani’s unique location also provides spectacular views where wildlife can occasionally be seen near the coastline.
Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later, take time to relax near the beach and enjoy the peaceful coastal atmosphere as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp inside or near Saadani National Park.

Day 2: Wami River Boat Safari and Return
Begin the day with an early morning boat safari along the Wami River, one of Saadani’s most popular activities. Cruise quietly along the river while observing hippos, crocodiles, waterbirds, fish eagles, kingfishers, and other wildlife that gather along the riverbanks.
After the boat safari, return for breakfast before checking out and beginning your journey back to Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam or Morogoro.
Enjoy lunch en route before continuing your transfer. Guests returning to Zanzibar can connect via ferry or domestic flight arrangements.

Depending on your onward travel plans, departures can be arranged via Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam. International travelers can connect through Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) in Dar es Salaam.
