Safari Highlights
This 5-day safari takes you deep into the Serengeti National Park and the Ndutu region, an area renowned for hosting the Great Migration between December and March. Begin your adventure in Central Serengeti, famous for its year-round wildlife concentrations and predator activity, before spending two full days exploring the wildlife-rich Ndutu Plains.
After experiencing the southern Serengeti ecosystem, return to Central Serengeti for additional game viewing before departing the park and returning to Arusha on the final day.
Day 0: Arrival Day
Upon arrival in Tanzania, you will be welcomed by a Leiyos Safari representative. This safari can start from either Arusha Town or Dar es Salaam. Guests arriving in Dar es Salaam will take a domestic flight to Arusha, where they will meet their safari guide and receive a briefing about the upcoming safari adventure.
Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at your lodge, explore Arusha Town, or prepare for the journey into the Serengeti the following morning.

Day 1: Arusha to Central Serengeti National Park (Seronera)
After an early breakfast, depart Arusha and travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Serengeti National Park. Enjoy breathtaking views of the highlands and vast plains as you journey into Tanzania’s most famous wildlife destination.
Upon entering the park, begin your first game drive en route to the Seronera region. Central Serengeti is renowned for its year-round wildlife concentrations and excellent predator sightings. Expect to encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and numerous bird species.
Arrive at your camp or lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Central Serengeti to Ndutu Plains
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Central Serengeti before proceeding toward the Ndutu region in the southern Serengeti ecosystem.
The Ndutu Plains are famous for attracting large concentrations of wildlife, particularly during the migration and calving season. Along the way, continue searching for predators, large herbivore herds, and a variety of birdlife.
Arrive in Ndutu in the afternoon and enjoy a game drive before heading to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Ndutu Plains
Spend the entire day exploring the spectacular Ndutu area. Depending on the season, vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles may be present across the plains. This region is also one of the best places in East Africa to observe predator-prey interactions.
Your guide will take you to the most productive wildlife viewing areas, offering opportunities to spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, jackals, and numerous other species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your game drive into the late afternoon.

Day 4: Ndutu Plains to Central Serengeti (Seronera)
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Ndutu before returning to Central Serengeti.
The journey offers excellent wildlife viewing opportunities as you travel through different habitats within the Serengeti ecosystem. Upon arrival in Seronera, continue your game drive in search of resident wildlife and predators.
Spend the evening at your lodge or camp enjoying views of the African wilderness.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Arusha
After an early breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive as you depart Central Serengeti. Continue wildlife viewing en route as you leave the park and travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Stop for lunch along the journey before continuing to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.

Departure Day
Depending on your onward travel plans, departure transfers can be arranged to either JRO (Kilimanjaro International Airport) or JNIA (Julius Nyerere International Airport). Guests connecting through Dar es Salaam can take a domestic flight from Arusha before their international departure.
