Safari Highlights
This 3-day fly-in safari begins with a scenic flight from Zanzibar to Central Serengeti, where you’ll enjoy game drives through one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife reserves. Continue your adventure through the Serengeti ecosystem before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for an overnight stay on the crater rim. On the final day, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an extraordinary game drive before returning to Arusha.
The safari offers excellent opportunities to spot the Big Five, witness large herds of plains game, and experience two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in one memorable journey.
Day 0: Arrival Day
Upon arrival in Tanzania, you will be welcomed by a Leiyos Safari representative. This safari can start from either Arusha Town or Dar es Salaam. Guests arriving in Dar es Salaam will take a domestic flight to Arusha before connecting with their onward travel arrangements.
For guests beginning their safari from Zanzibar, overnight arrangements can be made prior to the scheduled flight to Serengeti National Park on the following day.

Day 1: Fly from Zanzibar to Central Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your scheduled flight to Central Serengeti National Park. Enjoy spectacular aerial views of Tanzania’s landscapes before landing in the heart of the Serengeti.
Upon arrival, meet your safari guide and begin your first game drive in the park. The Central Serengeti, known as the Seronera region, is famous for its year-round wildlife concentrations and excellent predator sightings. Expect opportunities to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and numerous bird species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during your game drive before continuing your wildlife exploration throughout the afternoon.
In the evening, proceed to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After an early breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park when wildlife is most active. Explore the vast plains and river systems while searching for predators and grazing herbivores.
Following lunch, continue with a game drive as you gradually make your way toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the journey, enjoy stunning views of the Serengeti ecosystem and the surrounding highlands.
Arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater rim in the late afternoon, where breathtaking panoramic views await. Relax at your lodge and prepare for the next day’s crater adventure.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha Airport
After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. Often referred to as Africa’s Eden, the crater hosts an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, hippos, and the rare black rhino.
Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor while surrounded by spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife.
In the afternoon, ascend the crater and begin your drive back to Arusha. Upon arrival, transfer directly to Arusha Airport for your onward flight or travel arrangements.

Departure Day
Depending on your international travel schedule, departure can be arranged through Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA). Guests connecting through Dar es Salaam can take a domestic flight from Arusha before their international departure.
